This is a recording of Dr Joel Feinstein's talk from the Teaching Workshop organised by Dr Rob Wilson, Cardiff, April 23 2015 (https://explainingmaths.wordpress.com/2015/04/22/learning-and-teaching-workshop-at-cardiff/) Dr Feinstein discusses the various approaches he has taken to make and use audiovisual recordings of classes since 2006. In addition to the recording of classes, Dr Feinstein discusses associated uses of IT in teaching, including: the use of tablet PCs for annotating PDF slides with gaps; digital pointer/highlighter software (CursorAttention); in-class voting using mobile devices. The talk includes two short video extracts, and an opportunity for the audience to vote on an old riddle.
