Ms. Hladkey's second grade class are programming a robot to turn on a light switch. It's a virtual robot on their iPad, but they are 'coding' a computer program. It's part of the Minnetonka Schools Hour of Code. Classrooms are celebrating computer programming week with an hour of coding on an app. Different grade levels have different apps; however, this is a district wide effort to introduce more coding in the classroom. Minnetonka Schools wants students to not just use the internet in the future but create it as well. It's part of 21st Century Learning.
