This is the first of hopefully many videos that cover the topic of mathematical reasoning and proof writing. The content in this video series is typically covered in a transition course taken by a mathematics major.
Proof writing can be a difficult and daunting task to one unfamiliar with it. However, through practice and perseverance, one can learn to reason clearly and to write excellently. By becoming a proficient proof writer, the mathematics major not only deepens his understanding of mathematics, but also strengthens his ability to think clearly and logically.
This video briefly addresses the idea of statements. With this being my first video, I realize there is much for me to work on. I am always open to constructive criticism.
