In today's lesson we're going to be looking at the word "accept" and the way it is used in academic writing and academic speaking.
This series is all about Academic English, and academic words. I'll be working through an academic word list that I have, and explaining each word and its collocations. These words are often quite normal words, but have special usages and collocations in academic language.
These lessons will be especially useful for anyone learning for IELTS and TOEFL, or preparing to study at a British university.
