(字幕あり) This is a video I wanted to make for a long time, in response to the people who insult people who don't speak English, and insult parents for their own dicicions.Insulting people because the language they do or don't speak is not right. I don't agree with such behavor. Insulting parents for their NORMAL behaivors is not acceptable. If someone choses to teach their kids a foreign language, OR NOT, it shouldn't matter. Nobody is less =. Nobody is useless. Nobody is anything less. There is no such thing as a useless language. Bilingual people monolingual people, trilingual people. What ever you wish to do. IT IS YOUR FREE CHOISE AND PEOPLE SHOULD RESPECT THAT. I will live in Japan, my focus is on Japanese. The language of Japan is Japanese. The education my kids will go into is of course in Japanese. If they don't speak fluent Japanese before they enter into school then they WILL fall behind and will be effected. If they don't speak English they WONT be effected. So the comments saying I am hindering them, making them stupid are irrational. If I speak Japanese daily, that is the language I will speak. I don't have kids, so I don't know which language they speak. I never thought about raising a bilingual kid, That is my choise, that is my life. Everyone is different, respect other people. Nothing is strange about this. Just because I speak English doesn't mean its my prefered language or main language I use daily. Because I live in Japan, speaking about Japanese things in Japanese seems more natural to me. Not teaching your kids your native language doesn't mean you "HATE" it it just means you don't use it. And it certainly doesn't mean people should be disrespecting peoples choises. Just because I don't have much of a plan to speak to my kids in English, DOESN'T MEAN THEY WONT / CANT LEARN IT. These comments are unlogical. 700 million people learn English as a second language, just because my kids don't learn English as babies doesn't mean they wont be able to learn it as they are older. They don't HAVE to learn it at birth or home or else DOOMED. Jee some comments are acting like its the end of the world. People saying "if your parents didn't teach you their native language you will be angry". That is a person to person opinion and I don't agree. Me and my little brother had the chance to learn French from birth, We are both happy we didn't. Everyone is different. If I had the chance to learn Japanese as a kid, I wouldn't want to. I LOVE learning the language, if I already could speak it a part of my joy would be taken away. If I could snap my fingers right now and be fluent native Japanese speaker, I WOULDN'T. People saying "why do you deny them their culture". Its not denying them their culture, being raised in Japan they would be Japanese. Dening them their culture would be not allowing them to practice anything Japanese and secluding them to a Canadian lifestyle. I am from Canada, they are not. People saying "why are denying yourself your culture". English is a language, Japan is where I live. Japan is the culture I practice and live everyday. If I speak Japanese or English, Chinese or French, doesn't make me any LESS Japanese or "living the Japanese life" and not speaking English doesn't make me any less Canadian. It is simply a preference as to what comes natural to me. If I were to move back to Canada I would only speak English. People saying "you have some kinda weird Japanese freak fetish". Wtf? Thats gross. I am just a normal person who speak the language of the country I live in. If I live in Canada I speak English, Japan = Japanese. France = French. I belive you should follow the culture and language of the land. When in rome, do as the romans do. This is how I live. It has nothing to do with any non existant "fetishes". MY NAME IS MIRA.
