Let's improve our conversations with some great phrasal verbs!
Phrasal verbs are incredibly common in English conversations and a lot of fun to learn!
Phrasal verbs are combinations of a verb and a preposition, a verb and an adverb, or a verb with both an adverb and a preposition. As the meaning of phrasal verbs can often be quite different than the words that comprise them, many are idiomatic expressions.
Because we don't want you to get lost in the details of grammar, we've shuffled these example phrasal verbs so you'll be able to learn them just like native speakers do!
Remember that once you have a basic understanding of how a grammar point works, spend your time practicing examples of it in conversations! The fact that most native English speakers will not be able to tell you what a phrasal verb is should illustrate that detailed knowledge of grammar rules is not required to speak English fluently!
