#9 in a series of 2-minute videos with Helen Doron, Founder and CEO of the global English educational franchise, Helen Doron English. How did you come up with the idea to base a business around early learning? Helen Doron describes how the successful, international business was born when she began teaching locally, and word of her groundbreaking methodology spread by word-of-mouth from parent-to-parent. Children were learning. They were actually speaking. Parents noted that their younger children who were learning with Helen spoke more fluently than their older children who were learning English in school. So, Helen decided that it was clearly time to duplicate herself. That meant creating the right methodology and teaching the teachers how to work with the methodology. It meant teacher training, and it meant professional materials that these teachers could use in a systematic manner. The company grew quickly and a decision was made to franchise, and as a result, the methodology is now available in 34 countries and expanding all the time. Tens of thousands of teachers have been trained, and new programmes are in constant development. The international EFL (English as a Foreign Language) methodology is available for children from three months to 19 years. http://www.helendoron.com https://www.facebook.com/HelenDoronEG https://twitter.com/HelenDoronEE http://pinterest.com/helendoroneng/
