Mrs. Siroka of Ken's Excellence is a highly experienced and certified teacher when it comes to preparing students for Mark Twain's Creative Writing Talent test. This program has been opened since 2002 at Ken's Excellence. Mrs. Siroka has been with us for 10 years and many of our students have enjoyed working with her. She has helped many students get into Mark Twain's Creative Writing program. This course at Ken's Excellence consists of useful information and test taking tips to help students succeed on the exam.
To be admitted into Mark Twain's Creative Writing program, applicants are required to take a competitive exam which consists of 60 multiple-choice questions worth one point each and one essay worth forty points. The multiple-choice questions on the exam will be based on a variety of topics such as capitalization, spelling, punctuation, vocabulary, analogies, and reading comprehension. The essay part of the exam requires no previous knowledge and is graded on the students' originality, creativity, and writing mechanics. Mrs. Siroka shows students how to improve on their writing and reading comprehension skills during our vigorous workshops including how to incorporate advanced vocabulary, how to structure an essay, and the use creative ideas.
