My friend’s taking me for a spin in his new car. We’re just cruising around with no destination. Quite frankly I think he’s just trying to show off his new whip. It’s nice right? His ride’s pretty nice.
Ride means car. Whip is slang for car. Whip က ဘန္ စကာ - ကားကို ေခါတာ။ Cruising and taking me for a spin အဓိပါယ္ က ေတာ့ ကားကိုအပ်ာ္ေမာင္းေနတာ။ ကားကို ဦးတည္ခ်က္ မရွီဘူ။ ေမာင္းပဲ ေမာင္းေနတာ။ ကားပဲ ေမာင္းေနတာ။ သူငယ္ခ်င္က သူ႔ရဲကာအသစ္ ကို ၾကြားခ်င္လိ႔ု ထင္တယ္။

Since he’s driving, I’m riding shotgun. Shotgun is the passenger seat.
သူ က ကားေမာင္းေနးေတာ့ ေၾကးမံု က Shotgun မွာ ထိုင္ေနတယ္။ ေဘးခံု မွာထိုင္ ေနတယ္။

Hop in ? Get in? လာမလာ။ လာခဲ့ေလ။ တက္ခဲ့။ လိုက္ခဲ့။
This is unbelievable. It’s rush hour, and now we’re stuck in a traffic jam. Rush hour is a time when there is so much traffic. Rush hour usually falls when people are going to the office or when they get out of work. Traffic jam is a line of traffic at a standstill because there are a lot of cars.
Rush hour ဆို တာ ရံုးတတ္ ရံုးဆင္း ခ်ိန္။ ေၾကးမံုတို႔ က အလုပ္ဆင္းခ်ိန္မွာ ကားေမာင္းေနတာ။ ေၾကးမံု တို႔ က Traffic Jam ကို မိသြားတယ္။ Traffic Jam အဓပါယ္ ကေတာ့ ကားေတြ က လမ္းသြာလမ္းလာတဲ လမ္ ေတြ ကို ပိတ္ ေန တယ္။

Uh oh- we might have gotten into a little accident. He has a fender bender. It doesn’t look so bad.
Uh oh - ကားတိုက္ျပီ ။ ဒါေပမယ္ ဒီ မေတာ္တဆ ထိခိုက္ တာ သိပ္ မဆို ပါ ဘူ။ သူ႔ကားေနာက္မွာနဲ နဲ ခ်ိဳင္႔သြားတယ္။
ကားဖင္ နဲ နဲ ထိသြားတယ္။ It’s called a fender bender. Fender က ကားရဲ ေနာက္ဖံု႔ေပါ႔။
ဖင္ေလး ။ Bender ဆို တာ နဲ နဲ ေကြး မားတာ၊ ခ်ိဳင္႔သြားတယ္ ။
Now we’re going to the car shop to get it fixed. Poor guy. I feel pretty bad. Hope it is not too expensive. I hope I don’t have to pay for it too.
