Good afternoon! Good evening, wherever you are, how are you doing today? Hi, Isaac! Hi Kerry! This is our opportunity to ask Kerry some questions. Please repeat and memorize. What's your name? Where are you from? What are some interesting things about Canada? Do you know in which countries they speak Spanish? Are lessons on Skype easy or difficult? Could you describe your teaching style? What areas of English can you help students improve? What is your contact information? Hi! My name is Kerry. I'm from Vancouver which is on the west coast of Canada on the Pacific Ocean. There are many interesting facts about Canada. For one thing Canada is the world's second largest country,area wise. That means the land and the water included and it is the fourth largest country in the world, not including the waters but, the interesting thing is, despite being the world's fourth largets country, Canada has the world's fourth lowest population. There are only three people per square kilometer and, about half the people in Canada were born in other countries. Canada has the world's longest coastline. It's about 243,000 kilometers long and canada shares the world's longest common border with the United States and it's the only unprotected border in the world. Well, I know that they speak Spanish in Central America and South America excluding Brazil because they speak portuguese in Brazil and I know they speak Apanish in the United States and there is a country in Africa called Equatorial Guinea where they speak Spanish. I know they speak some Spanish in the Philippines and in a city called Andorra on the border between Spain and France. and of course they speak Spanish in Spain. Well, lessons on skype are not difficult at all, In fact it's really easy. All you need is the headset, so the microphone and headphones and it's like having a face to face lesson only we're using skype so you can see me and I can see you and we can use video-chat. It's very convenient. Well there are many advantages to using skype for learning English, For one thing, you don't have to go outside. Maybe the weather isn't nice, maybe it's snowing, or it's cold, or it's raining and you can stay in your house, in your comfortable clothes and you don't have to spend money on traveling costs, for example on fuel or parking fees and you'll never get a parking ticket and there is virtually no stress because you don't have to go out into traffic and look for a parking space, and you don't have to worry about being late for your lesson because you are already there, and many of my students tell me they prefer lessons on skype because they are in their own personal space, they're relaxed, it's stress free. I'm really patient, and I like to encourage my students a lot.
