Have you failed a UTS Subject? This would be your most likely reaction when you find out that you have. It also includes those who are on their final semester. The video only applies to UTS students as most of the captions are related to the daily life of a UTS student. This video is not for the intention to pick on those who have failed subject. It's supposed to provide comfort for those who have failed a subject and to "understand" their frustration and disappointment. If you know someone who has failed a subject at UTS, share this video to show you are the best and most caring UTS friend ever! So what happens if someone fails a subject? - The subject will need to be repeated again the following or future semester. - Whether you are using HECS or parental help, you will need to pay for the subject again (UTS, 2015) - 'Lecture negotiation' is suggested in the event that you failed by no more than 5% (Varies). Alternatively (depending on the subject/course) your lecturer can offer you a supplementary exam which gives you a second chance to pass (UTS, 2015) - Do not burn your notes unless you drop out of the course completely. As for the textbook, you may need it again unless the lecturer changes it. Even though my information is more informative, you can visit the following link: http://www.uts.edu.au/current-students/managing-your-course/classes-and-assessment/results Either way, if you have failed a subject, not to worry! Don't feel bad. You will repeat the subject but at least this time you'll know what to expect and you know you have to study a little more to pass. Plus you won't have to re-do all the homework! (unless the subject upgrades to a new subject version). Another way to see it is, If you're doing a 2-3 year degree but you have to stay for 4, don't be upset! Remember, there are degrees that take up to 5/7 years, so treat it as you are doing extra subject(s) rather than "I have to do this s**t again". Good luck! Trivia: - This clip is from the movie 'Downfall' (2004) where Hitler realises his generals have betrayed him - The editor of this video did not fail any subjects (Survivor of Acc Decisions A). - The original video was made in Semester 1 of 2014 with a possible self jinx. - For those who watch this in the future, UTS Kuring-gai is a former campus up in North Sydney (Lindfield) which was closed around between 2015-2016. My course was there and it was the best campus ever, until they took away the parking. - I am aware that UTS is going into a 'tri-semester' scheme like UWS in 2016, but when this video was uploaded, it was made before that change was announced. But yes, if you fail, you have to stay for a tri semester! - One night I drove past the USYDs' Victoria park and I saw a trolley in the actual lake at the USYD park and I laughed. This was perfect for the dramatic part at the end of the video. - The last time I looked, there were cheat exam notes posted on Textbook exchange which is how I came up with the idea for that part. I didn't even think of purchasing. But seriously, don't cheat. It's not worth it! By notes instead. - Because this footage consists of Nazi content (except the subs), I kept anything that may offend anyone out. - I spent a lot of time timing the subs to make it sound like Hitlers subtitles match. Thanks for the views and again, be a great university mate and share this to your friends who have failed a subject.
