The Tactics for TOEIC® series author, Grant Trew, sits down with OUP Japan to discuss his background teaching and developing material for TOEIC® exam preparation. In this interview, Grant gives insight about the challenges that low-level students face with the test, and ways to overcome those challenges both in and out of the classroom. Grant has been working in the field of EFL for nearly 20 years as a teacher, trainer, and materials developer in the UK, the Middle East, and Japan. He has a particular interest in the field of language assessment and ESP, and has authored several texts on these subjects. Among designing oral and written test instruments for institutions and large scale curriculum development, he is a trained item writer for the TOEIC® test and has been an oral examiner for Cambridge ESOL exams. http://elt.oup.com/catalogue/items/global/exams_testing/tactics_for_toeic_listening_reading_test_introductory_course/9780194529778
