The topic of the reading passage is homeschools. While the reading passage discusses three points by saying " The idea of homeschool is great, but students will have more negative acadimic results than positive". The listening passage discusses three points too, but completely opposite to the reading passage by saying " Students do not learn in the same way also there are positive results comes out of homeschools".
First point according to reading passage is that homeschools may give the opportunity for students to learn at their own pace, but it deprives many students of social interaction with others. At school, students learn and work in groups to solve problems. The listening passage opposes the idea. The social skills are important, but there are other jobs not require social skills. Some students are shy by nature so, homeschools makes students feel more relax and more secure environment.
The second point mentioned in the reading passage is that most parents have to work and many times they lack the credentials and time to teach children. There are irresponsible parents. The listening passage mentioned the idea about teachers do not have credentials is completely false. The teacher guide student through social network, computers, technology and textbooks.
Finally, the reading passage discusses that is homeschool prevents students from being responsible. Being on time and deadlines is a positive result of public and private schools and the responsibility translates to students future careers. But according to listening passage homeschool makes students more independent. They have to learn and find answers by themselves. They are more responsible for their future careers.
