Many students have to live with roommates while going to school or university. What are some of the important qualities of a good roommate? Use specific reasons and examples to explain why these qualities are important.
Answer:
When we join in a university or a college we have to stay back at dorms.We need to stay back with roommates who have a different nationality, different approch of life and attitude. Some times we don't have an option to choose a roommate according to our choice. So we need to adjust with the person who are assigned to us. But I feel if my room mate have some imporatnt qualities like be friendly,trust worthy and good character, I will be happy to share my room with him.
First of all getting a rommmate who is friendly will be a great relaxation to me. I am a person who is friendly to everyone, particularly to a new person who is coming away from home the first time in his life. For instance, I remember when I stayed in a dorm in my college life. I joined in a college in a different state. In india the different states people will talk different language, the climate will be different and even the food.So I am worried of all these things. I don't know any one from my state. I was so tensed and feeling home sick, since it was my first time to be away from my parents. But luckly I got a room mate who is very friendly and I became so happy to share my feelings with her.That room mate is still my best friend.
Next, I would apprecaite if the roomate is trust worthy. I should be able to go to classes by keeping my valuables in my room . If my roomate is a trust worthy person I can feel the dorm as my home. I don't want to loose my valuables and blame on my roomate and be suspecious. It will spoil our relationship.For example, if I remove my chain( gold)and keep in the table and go to have a bath . If I can't find it in the place where I kept
I feel angry at my room mate and I won't be able to ask her. But if she get it and return to me, I will be happy.
Fianlly, my roomate should be of a good character like study well,attend all classes, having good friends,all this will help me to follow the same things in my life. If my room mate have a good friend circle,I can be friendly with them. I don't need a room mate who is drug addict or lazy in his studies. We have an impact of our roomamate in our life.My parents always advice me to be in agood friends circle will help us to be a good citizen. When we are away from parnets no body is there to advice us when we do wrong thin gs. But if we get our roomate who is of good character it will reflect in our charecter.
As a conclusion I prefer my roomate should be friendly, trust worthy and good character.
