Hi Michael,
I am one of your student ( Cris77 on Voxopop.com ). I hope you had nice Christmas holidays. I took the Toefl test on Dec. 20th and yesterday I finally received the scores but I was totally disappointed: 87 overall score and 23 speaking.
In my previous attempt I scored 24 in the speaking and overall score of 94
( I applied for rescoring but my score didn't change ). This time my overall score went down as well as the speaking score. This is very strage because during and after the test I had a very positive feeling and felt more comfortable with all of the questions than my previous test. I almost feel like that I receive the score of someone else or that ETS had some technical problems ( I seriously start doubting their scoring system ).
Anyway, I am very frustrated with this test and I am start loosing confidence.
I am planning to take another test in February and hope it will be successful. What would you suggest me to do? Do you do private speaking tutoring ?
