This is an indigenous product -- sold in the local market. In India the sun is so scorching that you need a cap to prevent your pate being burnt by the scorching sun. A small solar panel has been sewed on top of the cap. A toy motor with a fan is mounted in the window of the sunshade. As you go out in the sun the solar panel produces electricity and a stream of air (usually hot) is directed towards your face. This This work was supported by IUCAA and Tata Trust.
