La Jolla is one of Southern California's most beautiful cities. Home to many of the rich and famous, and a vacation playground for countless others.
It's beautiful; I mean I think it's one of the most beautiful places in the world actually
Very unique spot. I have never seen anything like this.
It is like almost like a little village in itself. It's not that big, but is very precious.
La Jolla is actually Spanish for "the jewel" and to the 29,000 people who live here, it is just that. A great place to vacation or live and raise a family.
It's just so beautiful. The houses here, a lot of the houses here that were built in the 20's and 30's are just so really, really make for cool driving through the neighborhoods. This stretch of ocean along here is probably, in my opinion, world-class as far as how it looks from the, not only from the ocean, but how it looks from the shore as well.
When you look at La Jolla you can compare it to south of France. If you go to Nice, Caanes, you will have about the same thing going on. You have the best surrounding beautiful waters, amazing people.
There are several distinct areas within La Jolla. Among some of the most popular, La Jolla Farms is near UCSD. Just down the road La Jolla Shores, which is one of the top beaches in all of San Diego County. The beach barber track is near the village, which is in the center of La Jolla. The country club and Mirilands area's above beach barber offer some beautiful estate homes and views overlooking the Pacific. Just to the south on either side of La Jolla Boulevard is the popular Bird Rock neighborhood.
It really has a sense of community, a small town feel, you know everybody. There's a real sense of community here, people helping each other out. It's just a great place for meeting other families and the school, Bird Rock Elementary, is such a center piece of this community.
La Jolla cove offers great swimming and scuba diving. Wind and Sea beach is one of the top surfing breaks in all of California. If you prefer to exercise on land, the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club, La Jolla Country Club, and the renowned Torrey Pines golf course make our community a haven for any golfer or tennis player.
There's also plenty of cultural landmarks here. The Museum of Contemporary Art and the La Jolla Playhouse. The Playhouse is located on the campus of UCSD, The University of California at San Diego.
Just seven miles to downtown San Diego, La Jolla is definitely a great place to own a home and a prime real estate location that's truly a treasure.
It's a beautiful town. Great vistas, mountains, ocean. It doesn't get any better.
This is the place. I wouldn't, I mean I moved away for a while, but had to come back. I mean I really couldn't find any place better.
