Beautiful beaches, a world renowned race track, and hillsides filled with custom multi-million dollar homes, Del Mar is truly a global destination for visitors, vacationers, and residents.
It's January, and we're sitting here catching the sunset, enjoying the outdoors, instead of sitting inside around a fireplace. This is great!
It's just such a beautiful little community. You've got this park here, you've got the swings, you've got the ocean, wonderful restaurants. You walk down here you can spend the day, the evening.
It's easy to get around to the rest of the county. The freeway's nearby.
There are three beaches here, including a dog beach to the North near the race track, Torrey Pines State Beach is on the South side where Carmel Valley Road joins Highway 101, and the beach in the middle close to the post office and the plaza, and while Del Mar is well known for its beaches and race track, it has so much more.
The plaza is one of the hotspots here in Del Mar, with dozens of shops, world-class restaurants, and across the street is La Barge, a beautiful hotel popular for an afternoon or maybe an evening drink. But really all up and down Coast Highway dozens of boutique shops and restaurants.
A lot of outdoor activities and parks like this, just a great community, and it's small. I mean Southern California is all big, but Del Mar is 5,000 people, it's a really unique spot in Southern California.
Prices for single family homes can vary greatly depending on the size of the lot, square footage, views and finishing's.
One visit to Del Mar and you'll quickly realize why it's a special place for both visitors and those lucky enough to call this small town home.
Great place for families, schools are wonderful, people target living in Del Mar because they love the schools. They love the concerts that are here, there are concerts every three weeks in June. Town comes out, kids are here, family's having dinners, kids swimming in the ocean, I mean there's nothing better.
I think it's just a real special community and it's a great place to be.
