Jonathan Taylor, English singer / songwriter living in the village of Krusehvo, and known locally for his popular songs "Baba Marta" & "The Rakia Song" has released a new follow-up video entitled "Vseki den," -- Featuring children singers from the Koycov Koyco Community School, Sevlievo. It was filmed entirely on location at the former Communist House, Shipka -- Za Buzludzha and the school. Taylor, an ardent admirer of the UFO'esque architecture and frequent visitor to the site wanted to portray the building in its full unique glory. He said "The song Vseki den is probably the most patriotic Bulgarian call ever written by a foreigner... It is an appeal to all Bulgarians across the globe to come home and restore this great nation to its former economic status. To move forward from history, to leave the past behind and to work as one unified coherent population for the greater good of this nation. "It is not naive," confirms the singer. "It celebrates Bulgaria's relationship with the wider European Union, it's re-birth as a modern democratic state, but the message is clear, do not forget who you are..." The first verse is sung in Bulgarian, later repeated by children from the singing group of the local community centre in Sevlievo. The youngest just 6 years of age. "I wanted the children to sing at the end, not just to exaggerate the beauty of the lyric but to remind us that we need our youth. If Bulgaria wishes to have a future, as a world player, it must make a better effort to keep the young here after they finish university or school. If young people feel that Bulgaria has a future to offer them, then they will stay -- Of this I am certain," he said. The song received its TV debut performance on the BTV show Bulgaria's Got Talent, 2014. "I am deeply saddened" ads Jonathan "that of the four judges present for the preliminary audition (at The Palace of Culture), only one, the Turkish singer Esil Duran, had the courage of her conviction and showed appreciation for the work, voting me through. The Bulgarian actress, Vanya Tsvetkova, (whose English is perfect having spent most of her career in the USA) seemed to be a little confused. I think she thought I was attending a Bulgarian Grammar examination rather than a TV talent show that welcomes outsiders... I will be very interested to see what is broadcast," finishes Taylor. " The show certainly has a lot of great talent this year, as to why Vseki den was rejected so vehemently by the three ethnic Bulgarians, Vanya Tsvetkova , Luben Dilov & Assen Blatechki is unclear -- Only viewers can make that decision." The children from the Koycov Koyco School who sing and appear on the video are: Brian Tsvetelinov Kanev , Nikoleta Hristova Hristova, Kalina Dragomirova Hristova, Elizabeth Borislavova Hristova, Elitsa Dobrinova Ivanova, Nevena Veselinova Boyadjieva, Viktoria Rosenova Panayotova, Juliana Yan Mur (audio only) The video in full HDTV can be watched here; https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnZ2x5IcB8w Readers are further invited to download a free complimentary MP3 audio file here; https://soundcloud.com/stream Vseki den is written, arranged and perfomed by Jonathan Taylor and globally published by Brittunculi Records & Books. Additional vocal is performed by Trayana Hristova ( Backing Vocal ), Detelin Dimitrov ( Classical Guitar ) & Dora Todorova ( Cajon ). We sincerely thank the English Club (Cambridge) Online for their support , belief in us and full financial sponsorship of this production. Without them this video would not have been possible! The video was produced by Boyan Baychev, of Veliko Tarnovo who also made the former videos, "Baba Marta" and "The Rakia Song." The next song Taylor has in the pipe-line is "Sofia City of Love," a track that he hopes will represent the full cultural influence of art and music locally for the European Union 2019, City Of Culture Bid. Jonathan is a full time English Teacher at the American College Arcus, Veliko Tarnovo, and principal composer / song writer for The English Club online, based in Cambridge, England. He hopes to become more involved with the Koycov Koyco centre, teaching English next year.
