e.g. Ich han ä Reis buecht (I've booked a trip).
fully booked/booked out - uusbuecht
e.g. All Plätz sind uusbuecht (all seats are taken/booked out). Dä Fluug isch uusbuecht gsi (The flight was fully booked).
to spend money - Gäld uusgäh; past tense: uusgäh
money - s Gäld
e.g. Ich gib viel Gäld us (I spend a lot of money). Ich han viel Gäld uusgäh (I spent a lot of money).
inexpensive - günstig
cheap - billig
expensive - tüür
e.g. Das Chleid isch mega günstig! (That dress is really inexpensive!) vs. Das Chleid isch mega billig... (That dress is really cheap...) ATTENTION: the second sentence is ambiguous. It could either carry the exact same meaning as the first sentence with günstig or it could be seen as derogatory (e.g. a girl gossiping about another girl's dress).
Min Fluug isch uu tüür gsi (My flight was incredibly expensive).
price - dä Priis
cost - chostä/kostä; past tense: kostät
how much does this cost? - Wie tüür isch das?/Wie viel chostät das?
hotel - s Hotel
e.g. Ich schlafä imnä Hotel (I'm sleeping/staying in a hotel).
(youth) hostel - d Jugi (d Jugendherberg)
youth - d Jugend
tent - s Zält
spend the night/sleep over - übernachtä; past tense: übernachtät
e.g. Ich han imnä Zält übernachtät (I spent the night in a tent). Ich han bi ihm übernachtet (I spent the night at his).
