About The Exam IELTS
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) is an examination specially designed to assess a candidate's competency in the English language for university studies. The IELTS examination is recognized by universities in the United Kingdom, Australia and New Zealand. An increasing number of universities in the United States and Canada are also accepting the IELTS score.
Academic module: The academic module is for those candidates who wish to enroll in universities and other institutions for higher education.
General Training module: The general training module is designed for those who wish to undergo non-academic training or to get some experience or for immigration purpose.
The International English Language Testing System (IELTS) superseded the English Language Testing System (ELTS) in 1990. IELTS is jointly managed by University of Cambridge ESOL Examinations (Cambridge ESOL), British Council and IDP Education Australia: IELTS Australia.
