Hi all, my name's Anh Hoang Tran (Vietnamese: Trần Hoàng Anh). This is the first time I've done anything like this: record myself doing the speaking component of the IELTS test. In this clip, I'll do a Speaking Part 2 topic card.
For those who aren't familiar with the test, in this section, you'll be handed a topic card containing the topic and a few guiding questions. You'll have 1 minute to plan your speech and 2 to deliver it. I recorded this in my most natural setting - nothing staged or scripted - and I just talked for 2 minutes without the 1 minute preparation. Below's the topic card:
Describe your favourite animal
- What kind of animal is it?
- Describe it briefly.
- Why do you like the animal?
