-My afterthoughts on the Youtube video "why chinese people cannot speak english authentically.mp4" -Even though people from China and people from Taiwan both speak Mandarin...that does not mean we speak in the same accent. The same rule applies to people from Malaysia. When they speak, they speak with their unique Mandarin accent. -Just because we speak with an accent does not mean we're inferior than those with "authentic" accent. It's worthwhile to work on your accents but no one is superior than another. -Taiwanese people normally possess a large English vocab but when they speak, they appear dumb. That's why people sometimes mistaken us as non-English speakers. They comfortably speak ill of us "in front of us" sometimes...(O.M.G.) -I deeply believe being able to transfer between accents is a gift. -I'm also addressing the serious issue that other people from non-native English speaking countries their excess of confidence is blocking their way of improving English pronunciation...but this is just my own thoughts based on my own experience and does not apply to every situation. However I think it's not appropriate to correct other people's pronunciation when you're pronouncing it wrong. I thought we could agree on this with just a kindergarten degree but the reality...nope. -When I watch my own video I also noticed heaps of mistakes. Feel free to have a laugh :P
