»Language and Other Cognitive Systems: What is Special about Language?« The Famous American Intellectual has been awarded the Albertus-Magnus Professor 2011 by the University of Cologne. According to the New York Times, Noam Chomsky is "the most important intellectual alive" and has also been described as "one of the most articulate, committed and hard-working political dissidents of our time, MIT linguist and political philosopher." From June 6th to June 8th, 2011, Prof. Dr. Noam Chomsky was a guest of the University of Cologne being the seventh Albertus-Magnus Professor. During his visit, he held one seminar and two public lectures ("Language and Other Cognitive Systems: What is Special about Language?" and "The Evolving Global Order: Prospects and Opportunities").
