English writing is organized into paragraphs. Each paragraph is a group of sentences about one idea. That idea is usually stated or indicated in the very first sentence. The rest of the paragraph gives more information about that same idea. All you have to do is pull out the general idea, usually from the first sentence. Don't worry about the details. Pull out the one idea and move on to the next step of the story. You will read with more understanding and enjoyment.
