In this article, you'll learn the top tips to do just that. Prospecting is an important part of any business. The act of going out and finding someone who wants to take an appointment with you and hopefully buy whatever it is you're selling is essential. There is a big difference between being reactive (waiting for clients to come to you) and being proactive (going out there and finding the clients yourself). This is what makes the Vyral Marketing Plan so effective, and today we are going to share some great tips with you on how to reach out to these people so you can set more appointments and make more money. Tip #1: Get a List You have to actually get a physical list of the people who watch your video. Specifically, you want a list of the people who clicked a link in an email that you're promoting your video with. If you are using a professional email service provider like iContact or Vertical Response, you'll be able to get a list of all those people that opened and clicked that link and their names, phone numbers, and emails so you can contact them. Tip #2: Get Your Purpose Right You need to go from a hesitant mindset to a positive mindset because you have the expertise that helps these people. It's your mission to get that expertise out there. When calling people in your database simply say, "Hi, I'm (name). I see you subscribe to some of my videos and I just want to see if there are any questions I could answer for you." The key is leading with value. Get your purpose right, because you're here to help others and educate people with your great knowledge. Tip #3: Time-block Your Calling Time If you have made the decision that you want to help more people and be proactive in getting business, you have to set aside time to actually make these calls. Nobody likes making them and we all want to hire someone to make them, but it's best if you start making the calls yourself. Block out a specific period of time to make these calls and remove all distractions when you do so. Tip #4: Practice Your Script Set aside some time before you make your calls to get yourself excited. Call up a friend or colleague and practice reading the script to them. Say these things over and over so you get a feel for it. This way when you start prospecting you come across more genuine and are more comfortable with the script. Tip #5: Track Your Numbers and Be Accountable A good way to hold yourself accountable is by pulling $20 out of your wallet and giving it to somebody to hold you accountable for making these calls. It may take multiple tries to get somebody on the phone, but you need to stay at it so you can make contacts. When you speak with somebody on the phone, that's a "contact". Then from those that you speak with, anyone who is actually interested in buying what you sell or referring you is a lead. It may take you many tries to get a lead.
