A documentary from the early 1940's about outdoor advertising billboards in Chicago and the methods of analyzing potential advertising sites. Features a mixture of b&w and original color film.
The film starts with an explanation of the strategy behind the placement of outdoor media. We then tour Chicago's streets to see the different types of outdoor advertising, beautifully filmed in color. We see many long gone brands and products, and also lots of great street scenes of the cars, bus, streetcars and other types of transport from the period.
Color film and streetscape views commence from 20:10 .
